Examination Rules

The school has two terms and two units for all classes: april to May; July to September; October to december and january to march. There is an examination at the end of each term and a progress report issued.

  • Promotion will be based on continuous assessment.
  • No test will be preponed or postponed. No exam will be conducted for absentees. In case of illness, the final result will be considered on the basis of the terms work and general performance during the year.
  • A student who uses unfair means or receives and gives assistance in any form during tests will be given zero in the subject, a grey card and a warning letter. Repetitions of the same will result in expulsion.
  • Reports on general progress and results of the assessment, test and examinations are communicated to the parents by means of the progress report. If any correction is to be made in the report card, it is to be brought to the Principal.

FEE RULES

Parents Should Deposit the Fees in

OPTIONAL Complete fees can be deposited in the month of April.

Important Instructions Regarding Fee Collection

  • Fee Pay-in-slip should be properly filled with Name, Class, Division & Code No.
  • Fee can also be deposited by cheque till 5th of each Fee Deposit month.
  • Cheques should be payable to The Landmark School, Bhogpur.
  • Auto Debit date for the bank will be 10th of respective month.
  • No refund will be made once the fee is deposited.
  • Code no. alloted to the pupil will not be changed.
  • OPTIONAL Complete fees can be deposited in the month of April.


LEAVE RULES

  • As regular attendance is an important element of education, no leave or absence will be granted except for a genuine reason.
  • Attendance on opening and closing days of the terms is compulsory.
  • Every pupil is required to put in attendance of not less than 90% of the total number of working days.
  • Parents must state clearly the reason for the absence such as religious celebrations, marriages etc. Failure to do so invalidates the application.
  • In case of serious illness the Principal must be informed within five days with a Doctor’s certificate accompanied by the leave application by the parent.
  • Every absence (sick leave or otherwise) must be entered in the Non- attendance and leave record page towards the end of this diary and signed by the parent.
  • Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than 10 consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Re-admission, if granted will be done on payment of a fresh admission fee.
  • Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience or defiance of authority, lack of sufficient improvement in studies and conduct even after warnings or conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school are sufficient reasons for expulsion of a student.
  • Students suffering from a contagious or infectious disease are not allowed back to school until recovery is complete. Parents should note the quarantine periods recommended for these common childhood ailments.
  • Chicken Pox and Small Pox Till all the blisters dry and fall off.
  • Measles -- Two weeks after the rashes disappear.
  • Mumps -- 1 week after the swelling has subsided.
  • Jaundice -- 4 weeks
  • Whooping cough -- 4 weeks
  • Conjunctivitis -- Till no white discharge comes out from the Eyes.
  • Viral Fever -- Five days after the fever has come down to Norm.


GENERAL RULES

Code of Conduct:

  • The Landmark School provides education from Playway to Grade 12. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors are treated with love and affection by their seniors while they show due respect to their seniors.
  • All students are expected to greet their school teachers when they meet them whether they actually teach them or not.
  • Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently Students should not unnecessarily leave their class at the end of every period.
  • No books (other than text books or library books), magazines Cds, Pen Drive etc should be brought to school. If they are brought, they will be confiscated.
  • Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not allowed.
  • Students are expected to respect school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls irregular or in any way damage things belonging to others. Any school property damaged even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal.
  • They should not spoil or pluck flowers.
  • Students are not allowed to bring any kind of object that can cause injury to others.
  • Bullying, use of abusive and foul language, rowdy or violent behaviour in any form are punishable offences.
  • Students are advised to keep their class room, school building and campus as clean as possible and throw leftovers into the dustbins.
  • Under no conditions a student is permitted to bring a mobile telephone/smart watches to the school. If confiscated, it will not be returned.
  • Students indulging in any form of violent or destructive activities will face disciplinary action as decided by the school authorities.
  • Students using unfair means during examination will face disciplinary action.
  • A student found co-operating or indulging in any act of violence committed by other students which harms any student physically or mentally would also face disciplinary action including expulsion.

No students shall indulge in any of the following practices:

  • Spitting in or near the school building
  • Disfiguring or damaging any school property
  • Smoking any form of gambling
  • Rowdism and rude behaviour
  • Use of violence in any form
  • Casteism communalism or practice of untouchability

  • The observance of rules of discipline of the school and good behaviour is an essential condition to a student's continuation in the school. In case any student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action like suspension or even expulsion shall be taken against him/her.
  • No attendance would be given to a student during the period of suspension
  • Bursting of crackers and playing with colours and any other such unwanted activity is liable to lead to expulsion of a student from the school
  • The students should not litter the school premises with wrappers, papers or polythene
  • Self-discipline is the forte of the school.

School Timings

  • For Playway to K2 : summer - 8:00 am to 12:30 pm / Winter – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • For Grade 1 to 4 : summer-8:00 am 2:30 am / Winter: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in winter

There can be differences in this timing due to extreme climate which will be intimated to the parents.

  • Office Working Hours: summer 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • Office Working Hours: winter 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • No School business will be attended after school hours and on Sunday.
  • Parents can meet the Principal by appointment timing 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

School Diary

  • The school diary is to be kept with utmost care and brought to school every day. No page from it should be destroyed or smudged.
  • Parents are expected to check their ward's school diary everyday and take care that the lessons and home work assigned to them are completed.
  • Students must bring to the notice of their parents/guardians any communication/notes given by the countersigned. Entries by parents/guardians should also be shown to the teacher.
  • The personal memo pages should be carefully filled in by parents at the beginning of the academic session. If there is change in address or phone number, same must be intimated to school office.

Cleanliness

  • All the students must be clean and tidy in their proper dress and manners.
  • Parents are requested to send their ward/wards to school neatly dressed without which they will be refused admission to the class.
  • Pupils with unkempt hair would be prevented from attending school. No fancy hair crop is allowed, if found they will be sent home back and after proper hair crop only allowed to enter the school.
  • Boys are not allowed to wear colored vest.
  • Girls are not allowed to wear fancy earings, bangles, finger rings, hena , makeup, tatoos , growing of nails & using of nail polish.
  • It is the duty of all the students to keep their class rooms and other places in and around the school, clean and in order.
  • No student is allowed to write their names or leave any indelible marks on their desks and chairs. Before leaving the class room students will pick up waste paper and any unwanted material from the floor.
